Roma coach Ranieri not bothered by Juventus crisis

Roma coach Claudio Ranieri insists he's not bothered by Juventus' troubles.

Ranieri has led Roma into the top four as Juve tumbled out of the Champions League places after defeat to Chievo.

"We took different paths, but now I am happily on the Roma bench," smiled the Giallorossi Coach. "I do not need to take revenge for anything. I know that I worked well at Juve and now I am in my city with the club I have always supported."

The 3-0 victory over Genoa saw Luca Toni bag a brace, confirming himself as a splendid January signing.

"We needed a player like Toni, someone who was strong in the air and today he had a great performance, as did the whole team. It was a good game against a Genoa side that always tried to play. Physically we are in good shape and it shows.

"I had to say when I took over that Roma should set beautiful football aside, as at that moment we needed to focus on a change of mentality and approach. I knew the entertainment would come eventually. The important thing now is that we reach the Champions League. There's a long way to go yet and there are many dangers.

"It's still a regret that we threw away that 2-0 lead at Cagliari."
