Roma coach Rudi Garcia was happy for Gervinho after his double in victory over Palermo.

Garcia rubbished claims he plays favourites with the Ivorian.

He said: “When he doesn't play well, he doesn't play. It's absolute bull to say that he plays because of favouritism. When he's in this shape, he can really help the team.

“It wasn't just him today, as the whole side did well in the first half, playing the ball with great quality. After the restart we tried to control the game a little too early."
