AS Roma coach Rudi Garcia has welcomed new signing Gervinho.

The Arsenal winger's move will be rubberstamped once Roma move out a non-EU player.

"I'm happy with his signing, as I was happy with the captures of Morgan De Sanctis and Kevin Strootman," said Garcia.

"Gervinho is a quick player, he's good at going deep and he has different characteristics to other players."
