“Kluivert is ready to start or to come off the bench and is adapting very well. He is one of several players in the balance between the starting XI and the role of substitute to shake things up," said Di Francesco.
Di Francesco added, “I am evaluating a possible change of position to the left side of the attack, but that is no surprise. If you look carefully at the Torino game, he moved between the forwards more than act as a classic midfielder.
“We expect more quality from him, regardless of the role. We saw very little of it against Torino, because I could even use him as a centre-forward, but if he misplaces five out of seven passes, it won't make much difference where he's played.
“Pastore needs to rediscover his confidence so that he can use his quality to help the team. I am trying to adapt players with quality in the final pass so they can push up, for example the way Simone Perrotta did many years ago."
