Roma coach Andreazzoli plays down Totti clash with Mexes

AS Roma coach Aurelio Andreazzoli has played down Francesco Totti's clash with AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes.

During yesterday's 0-0 draw, Totti followed in stoppages for lashing out an elbow on his former teammate Mexes.

"Totti is friends with Mexes, so I think he didn't realise who it was behind him. He was dragged back two or three times and lost his cool.

"It was a shame to see Muntari sent off too, because it would've been better for all of us to play to our best. I wanted it to be a real test ahead of the Coppa Italia Final with Lazio.

"I didn't see the incident with Kevin Constant, but my players told me it was a clear penalty. It was close to the goalline referee, so I expect he had a good view."
