Roma chief Walter Sabatini says they'll assess Gerson's situation in January.

The midfielder was signed by Roma ahead of Barcelona last summer.

Sabatini said: "Gerson will be in Rome, then we will decide if he can do an internship of four months with us.

"Otherwise, we will send him away to play."

Frosinone are favourites to take Gerson on-loan in January.
