Roma sports chief Daniele Prade was in London yesterday to see Arsenal thrash Porto.

Il Tempo says Prade flew out to watch the Gunners in action against Porto, but Gallas was not playing. Still, it allowed Prade to get close and discover more on his situation. Roma are likely to monitor his progress after Claudio Ranieri expressed interest in the Bosman prospect.

Gallas reportedly must accept a 50 per cent pay-cut if he wants his two-year contract demands met by the Gunners.
