Roma GM Daniele Prade has defended the decision to leave Christian Panucci out of their Champions League squad.

"Who decided on his exclusion from the Champions League list? This is an intelligent question, we make decisions together. Manager, staff and club," said Prade.

"This situation, however, we are wasting energy on, now we must talk about (Marco) Motta and the substitutes that we took. This situation was created by Panucci. He must work on this and do his job."
