Roma sports director Daniele Prade insists coach Claudio Ranieri will prove a success.

"Ranieri is a Coach that we all know well," said Prade.

"He is a Roman and a Romanista, a man of conviction and we are sure that we have made the right decision in appointing him."

The capital giants started the season poorly by losing their first two League games, but Prade is hopeful that the side is now back on the right path.

"The win at Siena gives us some oxygen and is worth so much," he added. "The victory will allow for us to work in the tranquillity which has been missing for a bit."
