Roma chief Monchi admits the summer sale of Alisson is unlikely to happen.

Alisson has long been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

But Monchi, after being named the best sporting director in Italy, stated: “We're happy with what we've done but, like the Coach said, there's still a lot of work to do. This club and fans must give even more to conquer more. That must be our motivation, to work so we can give the fans what they want.

“Dzeko? He'll stay with us. I expect him to have a similar next season to this one. We all want him to stay.

“Alisson? If he leaves, it's just because I've gone back to being a goalkeeper! This is the only way he'll leave, but I don't know if I'm ready to play again…"
