Roma chief Baldissoni: FFP fine not serious

AS Roma chief Mauro Baldissoni insists a Financial Fair Play fine is not the end of the world.

Roma have been handed a fine of at least €2m - possibly as much as €6m if the accounts are not put in order - and limiting their European squad to 22 players.

"It is not a Sword of Damocles hanging over us," Baldissoni told Sky Sport Italia.

"Over the last few days we terminated a transition phase that we knew we'd have to face. This is a club that has posted losses for several years and we had to begin again.

"In truth, we're happy with the ruling, because UEFA were able to appreciate the work we've done so far."
