AS Roma chief Mauro Baldissoni says president James Pallotta is right to complain about rumours of Chinese investment.
A Chinese consortium have confirmed plans to buy into the club via Unicredit, which has resulted in a furious reaction from Pallotta.
Baldissoni said: "Pallotta angry? Certain operations must remain in the appropriate space, ie for privacy and private discourses. He said that there's been no negotiations between his people and the Chinese, then came the declaration from 'Unicredit at the request of Consob.
"The point is that some news coming to the press should not get there, because if there are inaccuracies it could be a problem."
