AS Roma director general Franco Baldini has discussed the sacking of Zdenek Zeman.
The club axed Zeman last Saturday after a 4-2 home defeat to Cagliari and promoted technical coach Aurelio Andreazzoli, who was Luciano Spalletti's assistant manager and remained in the staff.
"I wish to thank Zeman for his work and dedication over the last few months," said Baldini at the start of Andreazzoli's Press conference.
"When things don't go the way you hoped, the responsibility is to be divided amongst everyone. Whatever percentage of the blame you want to attribute to the components of the club, the decision was made because we hope to have a different sense of dignity to the end of this season.
"We don't want to pin the blame on anyone, but instead we want to find a solution. We found it in Andreazzoli, who a year ago was proposed a five-year contract and is a resource for the club.
"He represents the memory of Roma with Spalletti, Vincenzo Montella, Claudio Ranieri, Luis Enrique and Zeman, conserving the good things they brought to the team."
