AS Roma are ready to challenge Arsenal for unsettled Lille attacker Salomon Kalou. The Daily Star says Roma are set to go head-to-head with Arsenal in the battle to secure the signature of former Chelsea star Kalou.
Kalou's superb form has perked Gunners boss Arsene Wenger's interest and the Frenchman is weighing up making a bid as he looks to bolster his attacking options, with Nicklas Bendtner expected to leave the club in January.
However according to reports in Italy, Roma boss Rudi Garcia is keen to link up again with Kalou having brought him to France during his time in charge of Lille.
Kalou, who rejected the advances of West Brom and West Ham in the summer, has a £3m release clause inserted into his contract.
