Roma cash doubts end pursuit of Spurs striker Pavlyuchenko

Roma have dropped interest in Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Pavlyuchenko, an unused substitute in the Carling Cup defeat to Manchester United on Tuesday, has been linked with a move to Roma but reports suggest the Italian side will not agree to a straight cash deal.

Spartak Moscow and Lokomotiv both have the money available to convince Spurs to sell the Russia international.
