Roma captain Francesco Totti was delighted to get on the scoresheet in their 2-1 win over Juventus.
Gianluigi Buffon was sent off and John Arne Riise's stoppage-time header earned Roma a critical win.
"It was destiny, a goal that was worth three points and I am so happy to have extended Roma's lead over Juve," said Totti.
"I am also pleased on a personal level to have matched the 188 Serie A goals scored by Giuseppe Signori."
The captain was not originally set to play, as he is returning from a long injury lay-off, but Luca Toni pulled up with a calf strain just three minutes in.
"I really didn't expect it and didn't even do a minute of warm-up, so I came off the bench cold."
