Roma captain Totti raps away fans ban

Roma captain Francesco Totti says Italian authorities have got it wrong after banning away supporters for 15 clubs.

The rioting that followed the death of Lazio fan Gabriele Sandri by a stray police officer's bullet prompted a clampdown on security in stadiums, banning supporters of 15 clubs from travelling to away games.

"I know that when we play in Genoa our fans will not be there," commented the Roma captain.

"It will be ugly to play without them and it's a shame, because football is about enjoyment. We cannot continue like this and should not leave the sport in the hands of certain people. One cannot change football just through the fault of a few violent idiots."
