AS Roma captain Francesco Totti has been handed a one-match ban for his dismissal against Lecce.
Totti was sent off for shoving Lecce's Ruben Olivera after he had been tripped up off the ball during the build-up to a goal.
There were fears Totti would be further penalised for his furious reaction, as it took five or six stewards to hold him back when he tried to lunge after Olivera in the tunnel.
However, the Disciplinary Commission opted not to add insult to injury, providing the mandatory one-match ban for the card plus a 20,000 fine for his reaction.
It still means he will miss the Rome derby this weekend against Serie A leaders Lazio.
