AS Roma captain Francesco Totti was delighted with his goal in their 1-1 draw against Lazio.

Totti joined Dino Da Costa and Marco Delvecchio on nine goals against Lazio during last night's 1-1 draw.

And the forward has conceded that it was a tough encounter.

"We threw it away in the first half," he told Sky Sport Italia. "Unfortunately we did not get into the game immediately and they put us under great difficulty.

"Hernanes' [penalty] miss has changed the game and we did better after that.

"I wanted [the record] so much, it is my most beautiful record. But I wanted the win more."
