AS Roma captain Daniele de Rossi admits they weren't good enough for their Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
Real thumped Roma 3-0, with Isco, Gareth Bale and Mariano Diaz scoring the goals.
De Rossi said: "We are stronger than we have shown up to now.
"We have had some chances, but they also have strong defenders and it's not easy to score: maybe on other occasions we will have been more fortunate.
"In these games in the past we have taken some more sound slaps, but today I saw a good attitude, we did not give up."
He added: "Sometimes when you're struggling it can be difficult to find a way out."
