AS Roma coach Zdenek Zeman admits Miralem Pjanic is crucial to his system.

Pjanic is back for their clash with Chievo Verona.

Zeman said: "Francesco Totti played for years as a striker, while Pjanic is also attacking in his own way. With Pjanic in the trident we are more balanced, as he helps out in midfield.

"There are many young players at Roma, but for me the future is the present. I never complained about my players. They tried to follow my directives, but just weren't able to do it fully."
