Roma coach Luciano Spalletti was delighted with their 3-0 victory over Genoa.

Spalletti is now convinced the battle for Champions League places will go right to the wire.

"I must compliment my squad for having put a very strong Genoa side under the cosh. We'll meet them again - and Fiorentina - right to the very end of the season.

"It is a solid result against a great Genoa, who play excellent football and showed in these 90 minutes too that they deserve to be ambitious.

"The difference today was in our quality, but in terms of work ethic and intensity, Genoa were extraordinary," said Spalletti.
