Roma boss Spalletti grateful to two-goal Vucinic

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti was grateful to two-goal Mirko Vucinic after their 2-2 draw with AC Milan.

Spalletti said: "We were solid in the first half, but Milan's possession made life difficult for us and we had to work hard to chase the ball. It is always tougher without the ball, as we do not have the control.

"We were a little slow closing them down in midfield for the goals and that allowed them to get to the byline. Pato is excellent at going one-on-one and his pace is crucial to his game.

"That is the quality of Milan and it was a great game in which Roma did what they had to and could've won, then again so could the Rossoneri. The fans were certainly kept entertained, as it was end to end stuff."

When Francesco Totti returns from injury, will Vucinic continue to play as a centre-forward or move back to the wing?

"Vucinic is great at attacking space and can cover swathes of the pitch. His characteristics lend him to moving towards the left flank and he is happy with that, so there is no need to limit him with the label of centre-forward or winger."
