Roma boss Ranieri expecting exciting Inter Milan clash

AS Roma boss Claudio Ranieri expects an exciting clash with Inter Milan tonight.

Roma are yet to beat Inter at the San Siro in Serie A in over five years.

"It will be a difficult, exciting and no doubt great performance against Inter," smiled Ranieri.

"Their philosophy has changed this season. There was a certain type of approach with Jose Mourinho, another under Rafa Benitez and now a new one again thanks to Leonardo. It is a very important match, we are fighting with the other teams for the Scudetto and are fighting to win."

Philippe Mexes is suspended, David Pizarro injured and captain Totti in bed with a fever.

"We are determined and going there to take the initiative. Without Totti the trident attack in the system used against Brescia will not be possible.

"I have to decide who will start in attack. If one from Mirko Vucinic, Marco Borriello and Jeremy Menez starts from the bench, then it gives me extra options as the game goes on.

"Inter improved their strength in depth with the arrival of Giampaolo Pazzini and Houssine Kharja, who have already scored."
