AS Roma have blasted their own fans for Sunday's racist chanting.

Roma have been fined €50,000 after some sections of the Giallorossi support were heard chanting towards Mario Balotelli and Kevin-Prince Boateng during their 0-0 draw at San Siro.

"AS Roma condemns any form of racial abuse," the statement read on their official website.

"This type of behaviour from any football supporters, including ours, is completely unacceptable.

"We are committed to facing this issue head-on to rid our sport of this problem and promote respect for all."
