AS Roma attacker Gervinho says he owes all his form to coach Rudi Garcia.
The Ivory Coast international struggled with life at Arsenal, but has found his form thanks to a reunion with his old Lille Coach Garcia.
“Over the summer I received many offers, but when I found out Garcia was on the bench I closed all the other doors to come here,” he told Il Giornale newspaper.
“I mainly owe my great form at Roma to him. Our objective is Champions League qualification, but then if we manage to go further then it will be extraordinary. I won’t deny it, I’d love to win the Scudetto.
“Playing the derby against Lazio for the first time was very exciting. Experiencing that game, I realised where I had truly arrived.
“It’s natural the fans weren’t sure about me at first, because new players have to make themselves known by showing their qualities.”
