AS Roma have made contact with Tottenham about a shock January deal for Etienne Capoue.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Roma have approached Spurs, where their former director general Franco Baldini is now in charge, about the availability of Capoue.
Roma coach Rudi Garcia has made a personal request for the France international.
Capoue only moved to Spurs in the summer from Toulouse for around €10 million.
