Roma have confirmed interest has arrived for the club.
The Giallorossi released an official statement through its holding company Italpetroli.
"Despite what was reported in the Press, there has been no offer handed over, neither directly nor indirectly," read the missive.
"There was interest expressed by Vinicio Fioranelli on behalf of a Swiss company with regards to buying out a controlling share in AS Roma.
"As it is already known, Italpetroli consider AS Roma and its squad to be a treasure of the city, its fans and obviously its shareholders, so to proceed Italpetroli maintains it necessary to keep everyone informed.
"There must also be clear evidence that these buyers have the financial strength to take over the side and sustain a project that will maintain and develop the competitive nature of the squad.
"So far these guarantees have not been provided, so Italpetroli cannot proceed with any concrete evaluation."
