Roma ace De Rossi keen on future MLS move

AS Roma star Daniele De Rossi has played down the possibility of leaving the club anytime soon but did admit he was interested in eventually moving to the MLS.

The 29-year old Italy international has been heavily linked with the likes of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in recent times but he insists he is happy at Roma.

However, if the chance of a future move to the USA ever came up, De Rossi has indicated that he would jump at it.

"I was born in Rome and it is the normal thing for me to play for AS Roma," he told the New York Times.

"I've never wanted to wear another jersey: I love this city, I love this club, everything I love is here.

"Me at Manchester City? (Roma president) James Pallotta said I'm not on the market. I have heard rumors about City, PSG and Real Madrid, but I never seriously thought about leaving.

"If any club wants me for real, they will talk with my agent. But I am 29, and leaving Roma would be a tragedy for me.

"In the future I would like to have an experience in the United States."
