Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons is in line for a first Premier League start this weekend against Southampton.
The Daily Star says Aarons has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent weeks, making his Premier League debut on the opening day, scoring his first goal against Crystal Palace 10 days ago and starring on his first appearance for England Under 20s against Romania last Friday.
His impact has not gone unnoticed among the Premier League elite with Manchester City and Liverpool both watching the 18-year-old winger.
Toon boss Alan Pardew had planned to use Aarons sparingly this season but Siem de Jong's injury, Yoan Gouffran's poor form and the youngster's own sparkling cameos have made him rethink.
