Rojo eager to avoid Argentine return as he focuses on fitness for Man Utd

Marcos Rojo is hoping to avoid an unnecessary trip back to Argentina this week.

According to The Guardian, the Manchester United defender wants to have his hamstring injury confirmed by the Argentina Football Association (AFA) in Manchester so he does not have to travel back to South America for upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Rojo has been sidelined since September 20 and is unlikely to take any part in either of Argentina's matches against Ecuador on Thursday or Paraguay next Tuesday.

The 25-year-old is eager for AFA doctors to verify his injury while he is still in England in order to bypass the potential 16+ hour trip back to his homeland so he can stay in Manchester and focus on regaining his fitness for the remainder of the Premier League season.
