Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic is planning to force his way into Neil Lennon's first team on a regular basis next season.
The 20-year old former Central Coast Mariners star is preparing for the 2013/14 Scottish Premier League season with the Glasgow giants and is determined to win a spot in the centre of the pitch following Victor Wanyama's £12.5million move to Southampton.
"It is always an opportunity when a player leaves," he told SunSport.
"Hopefully, I can step up and make that position my own. We will have to wait and see.
"Victor is one of the best players I have played with or against. He has a very bright future."
And Rogic gained motivation after Australian legend Tim Cahill predicted he would become a top player at Celtic.
"It is a massive compliment coming from a guy who has played at the top level for a number of years and has been one of the main men in our national team for the last 10 years," he added.
"It's a very big compliment but I can't let it affect me too much because I still have a long way to go. Hopefully my success will come."
