Rogers confident of rediscovering top form with LA Galaxy

Robbie Rogers believes he will soon find top gear for LA Galaxy as he continues his return to full fitness.

The 26-year old winger made his first MLS appearance of the 2014 season in the weekend's 1-0 loss to Houston Dynamo, coming on for a 25-minute cameo in the second half.

Rogers had a few outings in LA's reserves team, Galaxy II, in the USL PRO league in the lead-up and he feels that helped prepare him for his comeback despite the fact it wasn't a super individual performance.

"Everything is a step, definitely, and I feel like I've been improving," said Rogers, who missed two months of the start of 2014 with a stress fracture.

"We have two big games at home coming up, and we need to get points and we need to make StubHub Center a fortress. Hopefully, I can contribute."

He added: "I think playing with 'Los Dos,' that those games were important.

"And just getting consecutive weeks of training and not getting injured, knock on wood, and hopefully I can stay healthy and just keep improving and contributing in some way."

The Galaxy next meet FC Dallas at home on Wednesday before hosting the Philadelphia Union on Sunday.
