KSV Roeselare loanee Nikita Rukavytsya is ticking all the boxes in regards to what Australia national team coach Pim Verbeek is looking for.
22-year old Rukavytsya is on loan to the Belgian club from Dutch outfit FC Twente and has been impressing toward the latter end of the season with three goals in two relegation play-offs as his strives to help his temporary club remain in the Jupiler League.
Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek rates the former Perth Glory man as very handy player who he plans to call on in South Africa in just over a month's time.
"He certainly has and he's looking the goods because he has incredible pace, which is something all defenders fear," said Verbeek.
"He's the quickest player in Australia by some distance. He can play central striker or out wide and that makes him even more of an asset.
"He's somebody who could come on and turn a game with his sheer speed and every team needs a player like him to call on."
