Former Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder is delighted seeing Andy Carroll now flourish in the Premier League.
Roeder is the only Magpies manager to have seen his side score a goal at The Emirates, thanks to a Kieron Dyer effort in a 1-1 draw back in 2006-07.
Roeder, a guest of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and Gunners chief scout Steve Rowley today, said: "They tell me since that Dyer goal, Newcastle have not scored in four league and cup visits to The Emirates but I reckon big Andy can help change all this.
"Yes, Andy has had a bit of a past. Like the time when I was manager and he went on holiday and dived into the shallow end of the swimming pool and came back with a dislocated ankle."
