Jay Rodriguez is full of praise for Southampton teammate Adam Lallana.

Lallana was outstanding in victory at Cardiff City.

"It was an unbelievable performance. It's week in, week out," Rodriguez told the Daily Echo. "He's a great player and it was nice he set me up."

Only 48 hours earlier, on Christmas Eve, Lallana had married his fiancée, Emily Jubb, making it a week to remember for the 25-year-old.

"When I went in the next day I just congratulated him," said Rodriguez. "I'm so happy for him, they're a lovely couple. "It's a nice thing. He's a good lad and he's got a good family."
