Genoa striker Rodrigo Palacio has again thanked the club for helping him earn a return to the Argentina squad.

Palacio has been included in the party for the October ties against Chile and Venezuela - his first call-up since June 2008.

"I'm very happy to be back with the Argentina squad," the former Boca Juniors wide attacker said.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Genoa. It is because of my journey with them that I am here again."
