Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers intends to work the January market.
Rodgers wants three signings next month to boost Liverpool's title challenge.
Rodgers, who is targeting a left-back and a striker, said: "We have to go into every window and see where we can improve.
"If there are players we can attract, the key is whether we can improve the team.
"I talked to some of the coaches and said that we've built the house and now we have to decorate the inside.
"We have targets in mind but it goes back to their availability and if they're affordable."
