Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is chasing Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke. The Telegraph says Rodgers is desperate to avoid the struggles of his season with a new look attacking force.

It could spell the end for Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert at Anfield as both have failed spectacularly since joining last summer.
