Rodgers intent on picking things up at Swansea

Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers says he will do all he can to help pick up his team following the weekend's disappointing 3-1 loss to Norwich City.

The Swans fell to 13th on the table with their fourth straight away loss but ahead of another away clash with Wolves on Saturday, Rodgers has highlighted the importance of bouncing back from a less than impressive showing against the Canaries.

"It's like the young bird that falls out of the nest," Rodgers told the South Wales Evening Post.

"Everyone expects it to fly, but sometimes it drops to the floor.

"What's important when that happens, like when your team drops, is that you pick it up so it can fly again. That's my job this week.

"There will be some disappointments, but what gives me great hope is that my players want to improve.

"We are very much one group, and they know as well as I do that last Saturday was a disappointment for us. We all want to be better when we go to Wolves."
