Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was extremely happy after his new signings helped produce a 4-0 win over the Thai All-Stars on Tuesday.
New additions Danny Ings, Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner were three of the five new signings Liverpool have made this season, and part of the line-up that comfortably defeated the Thai All-Stars in Bangkok.
Divock Origi, who joined the team last summer from Lille, scored during his debut for the Reds, with Rodgers pleased by his performance: "Divock was excellent... You can see his movement, and what really pleased me tonight was his persistence."
"He kept going and he was very positive. He showed how good he was in the air and with the ball, and it was a great header he scored. So I was very pleased."
Rodgers added on the other new additions: "James Milner was outstanding, he showed his quality and his intensity.
"Nathaniel Clyne was excellent. I saw young Joe Gomez in the first half came in and he was very, very good. Adam Bogdan was secure."
