Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has discussed their failure to win the race for new Chelsea signing Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool proposed a 'package payment' to FC Basle to reopen the debate about how value is measured with a player who could help secure a top-four finish.
"That's for the money guys to say that," said Rodgers. "It's the construction of the whole deal, not only with the player and the agent and Basle as a football club. But it was deemed in this case we couldn't do a deal and Chelsea could. So the boy has gone there."
