Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is demanding more control of transfers if he is to pen new terms. The Sunday Mirror says Liverpool's transfer business is currently done by committee. Rodgers works in tandem with chief executive Ian Ayre, head of recruitment Dave Fallows and Michael Edwards.
But owners Fenway Sports will have to change their US recruitment model if they want to keep Rodgers, 41, happy.
His current deal enters its final year this summer and Liverpool will not want negotiations to drag on for hot property Rodgers.
Not with Barcelona, Real Madrid and AC Milan possibly looking for new coaches in the summer.
