Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is convinced his squad has top four potential.
Despite their fluctuating start to the campaign and a disappointing Boxing Day defeat at Stoke, Rodgers believes there is nothing wrong with setting his sights on the top four.
He said: "We're as good as any team that's in that area at the moment and we've shown that - but the big word is consistency.
"If we can find that in the second half of the season there's no reason why we can't. But 'if' is a big word.
"We're eight points behind that position and before we can even have any dreams of reaching that we have to find consistency and mentality in the games."
