Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers intends to be busy in the January market.
The Reds flourished in the second half of last season after they signed Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho in the new year. Both have proven to be outstanding additions.
"In January it's difficult but our recruitment guys are working hard to identify that type of player to come in," said Rodgers. "Last year Daniel Sturridge came in and has been brilliant, so there are players out there.
"But you've got to dig deeper and harder to get them in. Sometimes they might not be household names but they could have the quality. When Daniel came in there was a big question mark and he's answered those questions. Coutinho, you can see, is a top young player.
"There will be players who want to come but they'll maybe want Champions League football. We can't worry about it, we just need to find players who can make the difference for us.
"Last season we made two great signings who gave us an injection of quality we needed. We will look to do that this January."
