Wigan Athletic's survival hopes have received an even bigger boost with news that Hugo Rodallega and Shaun Maloney could be fit for this weekend's trip to Fulham.
Rodallega has not played for six week because of a knee injury whilst Maloney missed Monday's win at Arsenal, also with a knee problem, but manager Roberto Martinez suggests the pair are available to receive game time at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
"It is too early to tell if he is going to be ready for Saturday but he is progressing really well.
"It is similar for Shaun Maloney, who is 50-50 for the weekend.
"I hope he is going to be able to join the group on Friday and we will see how he develops from there.""With Hugo we are getting closer," said Martinez.
