Rochdale have offered their facilities to frozen out Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton.
Barton, 28, continues to train away from the first team after his Twitter outbursts and will not be involved in today's final pre-season friendly against Fiorentina.
So Dale boss Steve Eyre and assistant Frankie Bunn - who worked with Barton at Manchester City - have offered him the chance to take a breather at Spotland.
Eyre said: "Joey got in touch to wish us well for Saturday.
"He was never anything but good as gold for me and Frank.
"If he ever wanted to come and work with me and Frank again to keep himself in shape, he'd be welcome."
