Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi has welcomed new signing Julio Cruz, the former Inter Milan forward.

He said: "Cruz is an important purchase, he is a very good player who has different characteristics to other attackers."

Rocchi also gave his reaction to news that Lazio's three 'dissidents' will not be joining the team in Beijing for the Super Cup.

"It's a shame. Unfortunately a situation has been created and we need to bring it to an end, hopefully when we return to Rome it will be resolved one way or the other.

"I don't know how it will turn out, it depends on both parties," Rocchi concluded.
