Bryan Robson held crisis talks with Sheffield United officials today (Thursday) following reports that he has been sacked as manager of the Championship club and moved to a less hands-on role.
Robson met club chairman Terry Robinson and plc chairman Kevin McCabe in Brussels yesterday and BBC Radio Sheffield reported today that both chairman felt the talks had been constructive and there would be "reasoned changes to the football infrastructure".
This was reported to include Robson's removal from his current responsibilities with the first team but an astonished Robson told Sportsmail Online today: "It's news to me. Certainly no-one has spoken to me about it."
