Dundee United midfielder Barry Robson has hailed manager Craig Levein for the way he has turned the club's fortunes around.
He said: "It has been a dramatic difference from a year ago. Craig Brewster was trying to instil his own methods and change a lot of players. That's never easy. I like working with Craig Levein. He's outstanding on the game and gets the best out of his players.
"But this gaffer seems settled and we can go forward. The manager was looking for stability and didn't change things too quickly.
"We're hoping to build and make ourselves a bit of a force. We want to get into the top six and stay there for a few years. We still need to add players but the money isn't there. We can't keep asking the chairman to carry on putting cash in because he has done so much already.
"But I hope he has a wee bit more to make us stronger. Ian McCall spent a few quid and we finished fifth, got to a cup final and a semi. So I don't think he was as bad as everyone makes out.
"United should be up there and we need to keep working hard."
